lose weight before rush

by: Advice

Incoming freshman, if you want top tier, be at a flattering weight for your height. No chubbies allowed in top 3, regardless of grades, resume, personality, service work... Many girls have stated this below in the rudest terms, so it's probably true. Now everyone will jump in and say 'how dare you want top tier, there's a home for even the chubs at UT in a lower tier sorority' um ok thanks for that-not! My advice is, is you are overweight but have a great resume and pretty facd and want a top tier, get healthy and lose it. If you'd rather not, and don't want to settle, save your money and belong to one of the many organizations that exist at UT that aren't so superficial.

My house is considered a "top" house, and although the majority of the girls are thin, not all are. We, thank goodness, choose people on personal qualities, not their weight.

OH BS! Name your house then so everyone will know which house is so wonderful and "chooses all their girls based on personal qualities and not their weight" "But the majority happen to be thin" LOL!

Yeah, there are some chubby not so attractive girls in the "top houses"but only because they are legacies or well connected with actives. If you know no one and your're a "chub" and your looks aren't great, it doesn't matter how great your resume is, you aren't getting in. Stop it with the "my house doesn't do that" because they do. When there are a ton of other girls with looks and good resumes and connections, you can forget it.

What about all the beautiful girls with great grades and resumes that don't get a bid to a top house? In reading the posts on GR , sounds like nobody gets a top bid. Beautiful, not beautiful, thin, not thin, smart, not smart can't get a bid to a top house. So what's left to do? According to multi posts it is suggested to not go greek instead of "settling" for less than top. In fact why "pay for friends" if you cant get top. Honestly, does this sound logical? No, of course not. Just proof of the nonsense posted here. Go where you fit. It's all good. Only the insecure are hung up on the concept of "top". And it's the insecure that post the mean stuff

We also get it. You're the insecure one! And your negative postings aren't going to change that for you either. Be happy, be positive. It's all good.
