this has got to end

I am a senior in my chapter and I am so sad for all of you who care about rankings and how frats view you. But I also understand you, because at one point I was the rank obsessed PNM. I ended up in a "lower middle" chapter and for so much of freshman year I would come on the site to to look for validation that it wasn't a mistake just dropping out of Greek life because a I didn't get a "top tier" chapter. I even posted on this site good things about my chapter to try and make others view us better so I could view myself better.

Now, 4 years later, I wish I could go back and tell myself to stop wasting time on toxic websites like this.

My advice to all of you who care, is to refocus your energy. Look for reasons you love your chapter and look for reasons why you can also love other chapters. Your pride in your chapter shouldn't come from your ability to bash other sororities. I PROMISE you, appreciating your sisterhood and putting in effort to be apart of something so much bigger than petty drama will make your college experience worthwhile - not fraternity boys and not where you "rank" on a stupid tier system that speaks wonders on the girl who posted them but little of the chapters as a whole.
