I really am considering ut for my freshman year. I have some older friends in sororities and I want to know what you guys think about delta gammas?? I always see them on the bottom but I like to give everything a shot. I don't want all fake comments I went the honest truth. Thanks

The "tier" system at UTK is absurd. No one really cares except on this site, or at recruitment when there is so much hysteria among the PNM's about getting into a "good" sorority. If you want phony prestige that's fine, But the truth is all of the chapters at UT are solid. You can get a great Greek experience in all of the sororities.. If you are into frats, just remember...a frat guy who gives a flip about what house you are in is not worth your time. A lot of guys prefer houses that are not considered "top tier" because the girls are not as full of themselves. That is not to say that all top tier members are full of themselves but...I think you get what I'm saying. There is no shame in belonging to any house!\n\n\n\n\n

Honestly, do NOT focus on tier. No, DG is not the most popular, but if you fit in then that is where you belong! The girls are great and they have the greatest sisterhood I've seen so if that is what you are looking for I'd definitely not count them out.

I firmly believe that being able to have pride in your letters is an important part of being greek. If your chapter sucks, then that makes pride pretty difficult.

I pray that you're not in my chapter because I certainly would not be proud to share letters with someone so snobby and egotistic.

Every sorority here is proud to wear their letters. Go wherever you feel most at home.
