why the expo if no one is taking new members?

The girl on this site aren't very helpful for actual questions, just stupid fake ranks putting their own group on top. I'd help you but have no idea and would like to know this too. Maybe ask a friend who is Greek?

Everyone has to participate in the greek expo because it is more like a greek informational session rather than "spring rush". That just goes along with it for the chapters that are giving bids. Most likely, the will invite you to an event at their house and then give bids out from there. I'm not sure if you have to have a resume but I do know they can send in your name and check your grades before offering a bid to you.

The Greek expo is to get a feel for sorority and fraternity life from all councils. In years past spring recruitment did not go so well so they changed to Greek expo to make it more casual. Many other schools do it this way as well. Not just lower tiers are offering bids. Some chapters have it in their by laws that they can't recruit girls in the spring in order to have more spaces during fall rush. 6 chapters did not meet chapter total this fall so 6 chapters from ALL tiers are taking girls. DZ is a top tier and they are taking girls so it's completely false that it's only lower tiers bc "they couldn't get enough girls." You should've gotten invitations to events at Greek expo. When you signed up for Greek expo I believe you signed an academic release form giving sororities the ability to see your grades before they offer you bid, but you do not need to send in a resume.
