I agree. Many of the once top have dropped, and some middle have risen. I am not mentioning any houses in particular, but if you are on campus you know it's the truth.

I don't agree that the established top houses have dropped. They are just as popular as ever. Girls going in to recruitment still hope for theses houses and many drop if they don't get a bid to these same houses. That being said all the houses in pan are improving because their membership numbers are solid.

ADPI and Chi O didn't meet quota on bid day last year which resulted in snap bids ON BID DAY! Top houses don't have to do that... as a matter of fact none of the top 6 on this list have in the last few years. And KD had over 20 members drop during recruitment last year. Another thing a top house doesn't do. These houses might be "popular" before rush but many girls realize they aren't all alumni make them out to be as soon as they get here, which is why this year all three had mediocre recruitments.

When I went through I was told DZ (by numerous people) was one of the better houses. If what you say is true I wonder how they get such good pledge classes. I didn't pledge any of the ones you mentioned. NONE of them were for me, but I am not going to get on here and bash any of them. The only people who told me CHIO or ADPI were top and must joins were alumna, and I think at one time they were the houses to join but not any more. I found out when I got to campus that wasn't actually the case and they aren't very popular.

ADPI and chi o you need to realize the year is not 2000. You have significantly moved down, AXO, DZ, and AOPI are much more sought out than you!!!! And THAT is a fact on this campus.....

but it is true, and honestly this bashing was started by an ADPI and a CHIO. To say nobody sought out DZ is false. As a matter of fact, they were sought out by many girls in my group over both CHIO and ADPI. AOPI and AXO were also groups more wanted. I found during rush the girls who wanted CHIO and ADPI were legacies but very few others were dying to pledge either one of those houses.

Reality is that adpi and chio are popular houses. Just because poster doesn't like these houses doesn't make them any less popular. And even though poster wouldn't want to join these houses, adpi and chio still get the girls that they want and do well in recruitment. its not a race to the top. It's where you fit.

They are popular with legacies. They are obviously the ones posting about other houses. The houses you are posting about saying they are unpopular, are in reality more popular than yours. I think that's all the poster was trying to point out. You are calling houses more popular than you "unpopular" which is false.

no one said that any house was unpopular. What was being said is that houses are rising only because others are falling. I disagree. No one is falling. Poster needs to realize that a house can get stronger on its own and its popularity is not due to the decline of others. No house is declining at UT. The popular houses will always be popular especially amongst a certain set of girls. But that popularity doesn't take away the success of any house.

I have never heard an adpi, chio or anybody ever complain that they think their house is irrelevant. Every house has to participate in so many philanthropic events that irrelevancy is impossible. Chio won the ace cup last year and adpi won chapter of the year. So I don't think posters statement of "they don't do anything" is accurate either. Just because poster doesn't like these chapters, making up lies about them won't change the success and popularity these chapters have amonst their own members.

Not sure how you mean "bottom of the bottom." Even with your addition that some girls love these houses when they give them a chance it sounds like a backhanded compliment.

If they are irrelevant than ADPI and CHIO are nonexistent.

Okay I know many girls that chose AOPi over Phi Mu and KD. I also know many AXO's that chose AXO over tri delt and KD.... Just because that's your opinion doesn't mean it's everyone's sorry you're so insecure about your house.
