You forgot to include mean to others on your long list of accolades. It doesn't matter what stats you have. If you are rude to others, you are not popular. Manners and class is what they definitely DON'T have going for them. That, my friend, is the truth.

live on this board and have no idea what comments you're referencing. I am going by the fact that I have had the pleasure of knowing some ADPis for years. I am denigrating no others, just standing up for some fellow friends that are not in my sorority. Peace.

There a a few nice girls, but as a house they are known as the mean girls of PAN. You must know the nice ones.

You are exactly the kind of person she is refering to. Also honestly a sorority does cost a lot of money. I feel lucky my parents can afford it, and I wouldn't have the friends I have in it of they could not, so i see why people call it 'buying friends'. Technically you are, though everyone does get their panties in a wad if people point it out! I guess my reasoning is that I don't care what people think because i enjoy it reagardless, just like i enjoy other nice things that money can buy! Also you do have the opportunity to have these particular friends if you are picked to join this exclusive club so to speak, but you are guaranteed any friends, even within that, if you aren't a nice person!

You just admitted you joined a sorority so you could have friends? Sorry honey YOU are exactly the kind of person that people are referring to when making negative comments about sorority girls. You "feel lucky your parents can afford for you to be part of an exclusive club?" No I didn't rush so I could buy my way into friendships. I make friends with whoever I like and enjoy...in a sorority or not. I judge people for who they are not what they have. Try being less shallow and realize others wanted to be part of a sorority to meet people and get involved on campus and in philanthropies. Yeah there are other ways to do that but I chose this route. It was NOT because I was buying into an exclusive club that mommy and daddy's money got me into. You are so elitist and condescending in your post and sadly you don't even realize it.

Most people, esp out of state girls, join a sorority to make friends?! No one says, 'Gee i think I'll get daddy to pay $3000 so I can do a service hours for a Philanthrophy'. That's just silly. You can do all kinds of volunteer work and missions for free. Same with getting involved on campus. SGA, younglife....are free. Most girls join a sorority to meet a ready made group of girlfriends and cute frat boys are a bonus. It costs a lot of money, but if your parents have it, it's a good way to make a bunch of good friends and maybe that's shallow to the above person, but true, and most likely exactly why they pledged too but they have to throw in the other stuff to sound all superior.

Actually, I cut them...lol. They were the first house I dropped as well as most of my group. Legacies were the only ones I know that kept them. The very houses you have bashed on here PhiMu, KD, TriDelt, Chio, DZ...they were the ones everyone wanted.

Nobody wanted Chi O.... ADPI, and AXO and AOPI for that matter, were all more desired by PNMs than Chi O. Nice try though!!!

You most likely were, you can say anything on here, but you would not have such a vendeta against them had they wanted you. Most i knew wanted Phi Mu or Tri Delt, but plenty of non legacies did want ADPi so that's just bull. They had more legacies than they could possibly pledge and mostly pledged non legacies. No one I knew went into rush wanting DZ or KD really and most that wanted Chi O did so because of their great national reputation but weren't so excited about the one here. I'd agree the top 2 are Phi Mu and Tri Delt.
