decided to forget it!

by: Whew!

I got cut from all the houses i really wanted and dropped out of rush. Felt like a had a really good resume, top of my class blah blah, guess they just liked other girls better. I got on this site hoping someone would know what houses were doing COBs or snap bids. All I have to say is wow and whew! $3000 saved as I don't want to be a part of any of this.

Okay. There are plenty of girls who do. Sorry you didn't get a bid. I got my first choice and am LOVING every minute of it. Good thing you dropped with that attitude.

hard to say OP doesn't have a point there...maybe we all should consider stopping cutting on each other like we were in the 8th grade

I can certainly understand why she feels this way from what she sees on this site.

So of course in the perfect world all girls (actually all people) would love each other and be respectful and non judgmental and all would be wonderful. But that isn't the real world unfortunately. OP needs to get a grip on herself if she thinks that nasty cattiness doesn't ALSO HAPPEN AMONG GIRLS OUTSIDE OF GREEK LIFE. We all know that it does. Don't come on here acting like you somehow saved yourself from the "mean girls" in greek life by dropping out. Funny how you claim to have seen the light AFTER you got cut from the "houses you wanted" and decided you were too good for the other houses. Who do you think you are?

Calm down. You are kind of proving her point.

She's just a bitter girl who got cut from her top choices and thought she was too good for everybody else.

I agree with her. OP shouldn't come here looking down on greek life when she admitted to dropping because the houses she wanted didn't want her.

She said she came here to get information on cob or a snap bid, not to put down Greek Life? Apparently she wanted to be a part? I'm not slamming anyone either for deciding not to pledge a sorority they didn't want. It's so much time and money and it's easy to judge if you did get what you wanted. That's just common sense and unless you know you would have for sure pledged just anything to wear letters, don't judge.

Totally agree! There are so many other organizations on campus. Plug yourself in somewhere else. My roommate (who was our class valedictorian) got cut from all the good ones last year and got really involved in SGA and loves it. I tried to get her to rush again this fall and she didn't even want to. It's better to drop and do other things if you aren't sure. Don't let people make you feel guily for not just pledging whatever because they sure wouldn't!!

All the "good ones?" Your comment was good until you said that. You are part of the problem.
