It's not a strike against you and it won't hurt you it just may not help you. Wearing black or white makes you blend in and that's not something you want to happen on pref; you want to stand out (positively of course) and in a way that gets you remembered & therefore pulled for. Plus all the actives have probably found every black and white dress within a 400 mile radius so it won't be fresh or entirely special. Don't worry tho if you have made it to pref the house likes you and won't hold the color of your dress against you. Good luck during recruitment!
