recruitment

by:

I was released from recruitment today after having a seemingly good conversation with my houses that I went to yesterday. Is there any way for me to receive a snap bid or attend a COB or something later on before the Spring or do I have to wait until then??

Did you have letters of recommendation to all chapters? After Philanthropy round chapters must make cuts and lack of recs or poor grades can be the first criteria used. You should be eligible for a snap bid if any are offered.

dont stress over this. The truth is the greek system at Tennessee is just not that big of a deal. This is not Alabama or Ole Miss where if you aren't Greek you don't have a social life. I dropped out of rush last year with the intention of rushing again and found there was no need to. Enjoy your Freshman year and don't let not being in a sorority ruin it for you.

...and let them know you would be open to a snap bid and for them to put you on the list. If you know any actives, get the word out as well. Chapter will have a VERY short period of time to scoop up girls to meet quota- don't worry, it is very common and many great chapter members are girls who accepted snap bids!

Would a chapter extend a snap bid even though they've dropped me? And my current gpa wasn't correctly represented on my recruitment application because of summer classes and has gone up, will that make a difference?

when people say to call Panhellenic I am very confused. Is there a national number to call or a local number?

You should be able to if you have the GPA requirement for that chapter.
