rec letters

All the houses require, or at least recommend, you turn in rec letters. If you did not turn any in you have definitely made things harder for yourself. There are a lot of girls rushing and it is very competitive. No recs and low GPA are the first criteria most houses use. Does that mean you have absolutely no chance of getting a bid? No, but they have to really want you for that to happen.

Thanks for the info! I know they were due a while ago, now I'm just curious. Do you have to have a personal connection with the person reccomending you or can you just email your local alumni chapter and tell them about yourself, what you did in high school, etc, and ask them to reccomend you?
