Is it acceptable to wear a black dress to pref night?

Some chapters will say it's not, but I don't get why it's so taboo. If you want to wear black dress, wear it. It honestly doesn't even matter. If a house is going to drop you because you wore black to preference, you probably don't want to be a member there anyway.

Pref round should be something that would be acceptable to wear to a nicer wedding. A lot of girls wear patterned lilly dresses throughout the week but if yours is nicer than you'll be fine. Most chapters wear black which is why sometimes people tell pnms not to wear black. I wore black and it was fine.

i wore a black dress and it was fine. I got a bid to my top choice house. And don't go out and buy a lily dress just for this. Be yourself, wear what you like and what you have.

those that matter don't care what you're wearing, they care about you. Wear black if that's what you have! Be confident and be yourself. :)
