by: FreshmanDo houses make first cuts based on gpa solely? If I know my gpa is lower than the one on that is stated for that house am I better off listing that house in my bottom 3 the first day to maximize my options? Thanks!!

always list your fav houses first because you never know who is going to ask you back. Even with grades, some houses may surprise you and ask you back anyway. Even if they don't, no harm done because the houses that want you will keep asking you back. houses have the upper hand in the selection process so go in with an open mind and see where you land.

All houses can drop PNMs because of GPA, especially if they don't know you. If your GPA is so low that you are below some houses GPA standards, you will be considered a grade risk to all the other houses and can be dropped by everyone. Because of this up rank the houses that you feel you are the best fit for and then be open minded to the houses that actually choose you. Also, don't low rank a house that you really like, because you never know who is going to choose you.
