rules to rushing

by:

Hey y'all! I am a Freshman and will be going through rush in a few weeks. I have heard that there are rules surrounding what PNMS can and can't do during recruitment in regards to going out, social media, and so on. Can some one please explain these to me? Thanks!!

Not trying to be flip but don't go out and don't post anything on social media during recruitment. Its as simple as that honestly.

Instagram & Facebook shouldn't have any pictures with beer bottles, shot glasses, wine glasses, even solo cups are risky.

Please, no excess bikini pics. One or two vacation pics are fine. More than that and you look like a girl who needs affirmation from her thousands of "friends" and it's tacky. Also, lots of selfies are really annoying it's just not classy & screams self-absorbed.

Don't go about before or during rush. Simple as that. Just say no. No matter who asks you and what it is, stick to moving in and making friends with girls in your dorm and your age. Don't really talk to older guys, especially those in fraternities. They gossip to the actives like you wouldn't believe. Also, could be an active's ex or bf who is flirting or whatever and that's a big problem for your rush.

Be nice to every person you meet before & during rush (actually all the time but you get my point). Never know who knows who. Smile & be personable.

Don't discuss your opinions about each house during rush. Even if it's just positive it's not a good idea. Also, if you're negative even if actives don't hear about it, a girl may feel bad about her own choices and who has cut her & that's not your job to make her feel bad about her rush.

Don't respond if actives contact you during rush that's not allowed.
