i don't know the answer to your question for sure but I would like to say i hope so. Girls are coming from all different school in different areas as well as out of state. Some schools are more rigorous and challenging academically than others. There are girls in public school and others that come from private schools. While there might be some understanding of what a school is like within Tennessee how would anyone know about the out of state high schools? Also the curriculum that someone chose in high school should account for something I hope. A girl taking much more challenging classes at a very rigorous school compared to another taking (for lack of a better term) easier classes may have a lower GPA but a tougher workload. Also, I would hope that if there were extenuating circumstances such as a prolonged illness or injury that impacted someones GPA that should be accounted for. I guess I am suggesting that writing a letter to explain why your GPA may not meet the minimum requirement could be helpful. Just looking at a piece of paper and comparing numbers doesn't seem quite fair to me.
