What is more important in a PNM. Their age or Grade (frsh, soph, jun, sr)?

Juniors or a seniors aren't likely to get a bid at any age, but if you're a little old for being a freshman it may not be a problem for some chapters. Unless you're like a 21 year old freshman.

The reason I am asking is, I don't attend UT but I joined my sorority at my school at age 24 and I was a freshman and now my friend who will be attending UT is kind of in the same boat but my school isn't a southern school so it's not as competitive. I was wondering if she has a chance. She is 23 not 24

She should try Spring Recruitment. There's only a couple of sororities that do it, but it's super laid back. No harm, just takes one night. Just keep in mind that if she does get a bid she's going to be with a group of 18 year olds.

the only way your friend will truly know is to try it. I would think she could be a real benefit to the her pledge class. She might be able to provide some wisdom and guidance to girls younger than her. They might be willing to listen to their older and wiser sister giving them advice based on experiences she may have already had because she is a few years older. And she will meet and hopefully make friends with other girls in her house that are older. Granted they won't be in the same pledge class but that doesn't mean friendships and connections can't be made.
