by: I'm a dzPi phi is definitely still bottom tier but you have to admit that they're improving. They should have placed higher at lip sync, but none the less they came out of no where and really surprised a lot of chapters. They won some stuff at homecoming and they're doing well in frat philanthropy events. This years pledge class has some pretty girls in it to and they're definitely one of the nicest chapters. They still have a lot of work to do but they're definitely doing better.

How does this make DZ look bad? I think it's brave of this person to write something that appears to be an honest opinion. Look at discussion page - Pi Phi is always ranked last, so it's not a terrible thing that she says Pi Phi is bottom tier. The great thing is that she is also recognizing that a chapter that's been given a hard time for years for lack of participation, etc. is working hard!

it has a condescending tone to it. And to point out "Im a DZ" is suspect. An honest opinion can be given without trying to make a certain house a target. What was said wasn't nearly as nasty and cruel as what others have said, but the condescending tone and the "I'm a DZ" comment was just a little too convenient of an attempt to make DZ a target. When will people understand you don't get better by putting others down, you get better by building yourself and those around you up.

It is condescending. In answer to your question...they will stop when they are mature and secure enough to understand that their sorority is not their identity (usually about sophomore year) and that they are making fools of themselves. It's a freshman thing (unless you're an upperclassman and a real loser.) Unfortunately, it probably will not change.

it's never OK to call a house bottom tier, and to pin it on another house is EQUALLY as pathetic. Clearly, this was a malicious attack to try to make DZ look bad. Not only was it trying to make DZ look bad, but at the expense of PiPhi. Some bitter sorority member needs to grow up.
