pi phi

They do have some AMAZING girls. It's that mindset of "someone has to be at the bottom" and it is very hard to overcome, which is very unfair. By being as inclusive as they are they have been able to scoop up some great girls who may not have known the importance of recs and resumes. Some may be from areas that are not as targeted by the more sought after sororities. Many girls go Pi Phi because they do not personally know someone in some of the other sororities. This can be a very good thing if you want to broaden your horizons and meet new people and not be with all of the people that you were with in high school. All of the lower ranked sororities are on the rise with the more recent pledge classes. I am honestly not a Pi Phi but I know first hand the quality of their girls. It is an honor to belong to any of the houses at UTK!

You are not wrong - many of their girls are awesome. They have a superstrong sisterhood and in the last couple of years have become way more active on campus. They are working hard to fight the reputation you have read about. I would encourage you to go Pi Phi. Every girl I know who went Pi Phi LOVES it (even two who didn't want to initially) . My Pi Phi friends really like each other, love to spend time together, and they have fun. If I hadn't fallen in love with my chapter, I think Pi Phi would have been the next best fit for me.
