phi mu
by: WannaBePNMHi, I have friends at other schools who are in Phi Mu and I was wondering what my chances are for getting a bid at UTK. I am from knoxville but unfortunately I am not a skinny mini but have a loud outgoing confident personality. Any chance?

There are girls on the heavier side in Phi Mu. Beyond popular belief, you don't have to be completely gorgeous or skinny to get a bid from them. If you have a great personality, they will ask you to join. Yes, this house has a lot of beautiful girls. But just like any other house they have not so good looking girls. I like Phi Mu, there are some really some of the sweetest girls I've ever met in there not to mention smart. Like every sorority, they have a few rotten eggs in there. It just depends on where you fit in personality wise. They are ranked top tier because they are one of the most bubbly and outgoing group of girls on campus and who isn't attracted to a girl who is outgoing and confident? If you can honestly say you feel comfortable and natural when talking to them, then you will most likely receive a bid.

I am not saying they are all sweet. But I have to disagree with you. some of the sweetest people I've ever met are in the house. I guess it depends which group you talk to because this sorority does have groups.

are right. They are a kind of inconhesive house with separate groups. Some really sweet, others really unkind and rude. They aren't real strong in the sisterhood department.

disagree. I have a lot of PhiMu friends, but they are not ALL bubbly and sweet. As a matter of fact, some are far from sweet. Many are downright rude. So my experience has been quite different than "Hey's." I hate to say it, but in my opinion, they have the least sweet girls....probably one of the reasons they have sisterhood problems.
