snap bid

I got dropped from recruitment and my friend told me I could still get a snap bid. What's that?

A snap bid is where a sorority may extend a bid to you later if they do not meet their quota.

Make sure Panhellenic knows you are willing to accept a snap bid. No one will know what chapters will be giving snap bids until they find out who did not make quota. Also, if you have friends in chapters...make sure they know you would be willing to accept!

No no no. Snap bids occur on BID DAY ONLY when a chapter doesn't meet quota. If you get a snap, you go to the bid day party and no one ever knows you were a snap bid (unless you had completely dropped out of recruitment.) After bid day, you can COR (Continuous Open Recruitment) into a chapter that has still not met quota or is under total.
