clarify please

Can someone please clarify for me why it matters literally AT ALL what men think of each sorority? I don't know about you, but I have my own opinion that isn't influenced by how I can better appeal to men. My value (and the value of my sorority) is based on much more substantial factors.
My sorority was founded to give women the opportunity to encourage and support each other at a time when women were marginalized and treated as inferior. I can't imagine the founders of any sorority would want members to choose their organization based on what guys will think of them.

Don't perpetuate the patriarchy. You're better than that.
