honest opinions
by: UTPanGirlEvery sorority at UT has something different to offer, and every house has incredible qualities that make them unique. Here is what I have experienced in my time in the Panhellenic community, but feel free to add comments about each house (positive only!) Each house is listed in an individual comment alphabetically so that you may add comments to each chapter. Pan Love!

Alpha Chi Omega – Also known as Alpha Chi and AXO. They have a beautiful sisterhood, incredible dancers, and known for being competitive. Very involved in other chapters' philanthropies and you always see them in large groups together, whether at the library or out for the night. Sweet, smart, and classy girls. Their philanthropy is Supporting the Victims of Domestic Violence through the YWCA and Knoxville Family Justice Center.

Alpha Delta Pi – Also known as ADPi. Typically preppy, private school girls, well known for being very sweet, smart, and attending church together. While I don’t know very many of them, the girls that I have met have ALWAYS been very sweet, and always are able to keep their composure whether it be at a party or at a philanthropy event. Their philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House.

Chi Omega – Also known as Chi O. Very laid back and down to earth. These girls are who you might think of when you think “hippie chic.” Always seem calm and collected, and are known for being smart. I’ve never seen one anywhere without another, and they tend to treat girls outside their chapter the same way as girls within it. Total sweethearts. Their philanthropy is Read with Me and Knoxville Dream Connection.

Delta Delta Delta – Also known as Tri Delt or Tri Delta. Very well connected, generous girls. Known for donating huge amounts of money to both their own philanthropy and other chapters’ philanthropies. They seem to be very close with their sisters from what I’ve seen, and are always very classy. Their philanthropy is Children’s Cancer Research.

Delta Gamma – Also known as DG. They are very involved in other chapters’ philanthropies, and their own philanthropy, Anchor Splash, is probably the biggest philanthropy event by a sorority each year (it’s SO fun!) They are very sweet and don’t conform to the typical sorority girl stereotype. Their philanthropy is Service for Sight.

They are known to be very competitive, and for being awesome dancers. Their philanthropy is Speech and Hearing through the Knoxville Center for the Deaf.

Kappa Kappa Gamma – Also known as Kappa and KKG. Very laid back girls that don’t seem to care about their “ranking” or others’ opinions (in a good way!) I’ve never met a rude Kappa, and they are always so, so sweet and fun. You never see them alone without another sister. Their philanthropy is March of Dimes.
