snap bids given out last year

by: Utkgirl

Everyone is using snap bids as a negative thing towards a chapter. yes, chapters give out snap bids to keep quota, but that's not necessarily because members are dropping. Girls that have internships and that study abroad aren't included in that semesters' chapter quota so you have to do snap bids to maintain numbers.

It's definitely not entirely fair to say a chapter is bag because they have out some when they really could be an amazingly involved chapter that has girls all over the country/world studying and working.

were referring to houses that had to give out snap bids on bid day or right after.

are a couple houses, Chi O and I believe ADPi, that had to give them out on bid day because they couldn't get enough girls in recruitment. You're right. Snap bids in the spring or the end of the fall to keep quota are not necessarily a bad thing. Giving them on Bid Day is.

agree. Bid Day snap bids mean they couldn't get enough girls during recruitment. Some houses have given out snap bids a month or so after Bid Day because some girls will drop. Many drop not because they don't love their house but find out the time commitment is too much to handle and keep up with their school work.

Don't know about Chi O, but my roommate was an ADPi. They made quota in the fall, so I'm not sure why some are saying they didn't. However, they did have spring recruitment.

ADPi did make quota in the fall but they did have to have spring recruitment because they lost a lot of girls when they went on social probation
