Derby Days is rigged
by: MoleSigmaChi giving extra points and selectively not giving points to ensure only specific houses win.

It’s honestly exhausting watching the same script play out every year. Sigma Chi Derby Days at UTK has become less about philanthropy and more about maintaining the social hierarchy. When you purposely withhold full points from girls who showed up just because they’re not in what they deem a “top house” you’re not just rigging an event, you’re proving you only care about clout and appearances.
Let’s be real: SEC frat culture is wild. Most of these guys are 5s walking around like they’re celebrities, all because they wear letters. Meanwhile, you’ve got some of the most amazing girls—smart, beautiful, involved—doing everything they can just to get invited to a party or formal. For what?
Stop giving these frats so much power. The truth is, they need sororities more than the other way around. It’s sad watching some of the best girls on campus compromise their worth just to stay on a list or get “noticed” at Derby Days. You don’t need validation from a group that clearly doesn’t respect your time or effort. You can do better ladies and you deserve better.

Sigma Kappa won back in 2020, the prize was a donation to their philanthropy & a mixer. Never got the donation OR the mixer and most of those girls have graduated at this point. They dont care even if you do win, if your sorority isn’t ‘good enough’ to them, they won’t give you the time of day.
