Cuts after Go Greek
by: CuriousCurious as to how the top houses pick/cut girls after Go Greek. How can you cut someone after never meeting them based on a video? Is it true that you already know a lot of the girls you want before rush begins?

Decisions are made in advance of ever meeting pnm's based on grades (a big factor), also resume, socials, and who the members already know, or know of. For highly desired pnm's the video really doesn't matter, for pnm's that are definitely going to be released the video doesn't matter in the least, for pnm's in the middle the video can get them noticed. Pnm's in the middle who get their forms in late are at a bit of a disadvantage, sororities look at pnm's all summer long.
Also, every sorority is given the maximum number of pnm's they can invite back to each round based on the number of pnm's and their past recruiting strength, statistically. Sororities with a higher return rate, meaning they can count on getting back a large percentage of their wanted pnm's, have to release more than houses with a lower return rate. Each sorority starts out knowing how many they have to cut at Go Greek, and then are given their numbers at each round. Percentages of how many pnm's are in the process at every round are used.

Grades, resume, socials, who you know, and how you present yourself in recruitment as far as good conversations and looking put together. Cute, sweet, fun, and a good asset to the chapter.

Good enough for what? 3.7 is fine but it's all relative to other things about you. Don't try to go through rush on greekrank, it will screw up your real rush.

It doesn't necessarily mean a sorority doesn't like you when they release you, they just have a cutoff.
