new frat row?? any info???

by: dvron

i've been hearing about new row for 2 years. wtf is it? half the ppl tell me they're going to tear up old row, other half tells me UT is building new houses there.

why is it mentioned if nothing has even begun? How many chapters with good membership even need a house? And why would any org want the school to build their house, meaning UT can just yoink the house, instead of nationals?

I think it's a ten year goal, so 2030-2035 timeframe. There is a ton of projects and funding needs on the drawing board right now and they all depend on a certain order of doing things. The school would compensate for the houses/land from the frats, and could invoke eminent domain as a government entity if necessary.

They did that at ASU and their greeklife sucks now. The university is your landlord and they hold all the cards. Don’t let them own anything.

ASU has townhomes like dorms. UT has stated there will be actual houses like they already did here for sorority village.

It my point. They own the land and call all the shots. Frats own the land they own their future.
