Spring COB means you're bad

If a sorority does spring COB you're a bad sorority. No other top house at SEC schools do it, why do top houses here do it? Bc they're not ACTUALLY a top. Sorry not sorry Phi Mu & AXO!

While Phi Mu and AXO are lower-mid tier at UNC, let’s not assume COB automatically makes a sorority ‘bad.’ Top houses at other schools, even in the SEC, sometimes do COB—not because they need to fill spots, but because they already know who they want and are giving bids to top girls who didn’t rush in the fall. They just have to go through the process. The difference here is that AXO and Phi Mu are doing COB to fill quota, which says more about their status than the COB process itself.

COB is not about 'quota', that's only bids available during fall recruitment and nothing to do with spring. People graduate in December which opens spots in all houses. AXO and Phi Mu had waiting lists of interested PNM's since the fall and took who they wanted when spots opened after December.

All the sororities have done spring COB at least once in the past three years. That means yours did it too, OP Yeah.

just because it's not formal doesn't mean they don't give out bids. look at the community stats for the spring for the past 4 years. ChiO is really the only one who never does spring bids.

Some national sororities have required chapter membership numbers, not to exceed campus Total. Depending on what that number is from year to year, chapters can be required by their nationals to COB in spring to replace December grads, also depending on those numbers.

COB doesn't mean chapters aren't desired during rush, aren't quality girls, or are having membership issues.

Look at the stats after they are posted in tha fall you will see that top houses who didn’t do official cob in the spring still added new members.
