Why so Rude on here
by: CO2025I am a hs senior who was admitted to a couple of sec universities but haven’t made my final decision yet. UT is at the top of my list tho. I was looking forward to rush in the fall until I found this website. Of all the schools I am considering this Greek page the rudest posts. It makes me want to reconsider going through rush all together. Ole Miss and Mississippi State sororities don’t have anywhere near the number of rankings or rude posts. My mother was in Pi Beta Phi at another university. She said she had a great experience. I’m not sure anyone is happy at UT. It is sad and makes me not want to try Greek Life at UT if I decide to go.

Anybody who actually believes stuff on an anonymous website where anyone in the world can post anything they want deserves whatever they get. Internet trolls get a kick out of stirring it up on here, drunk freshman frat boys who think they are so funny, people who hate this school or hate fraternities and sororities get on here to take some sort of imagined revenge. Anyone who is bored, immature, mentally messed up, or has a bone to pick can say whatever. It's like road rage behind a keyboard.
This is not a UT website, it's not a Greek website, it's an internet gossip site run for profit by people running a business. They make money from the ads they sell on here and sales are driven by the number of clicks each school's site gets. The more controversy on here, the more posts and comments, and that traffic drives the metrics and the ad sales. Greekrank employees will post on here too to spur a fight if the site traffic calms down.
Grow up and stop being so naive about the internet and the people on it.

You are prob the jerk she’s referring to. I personally think it’s the same 2 or 3 ppl on this forum who don’t go to school here or belong to a sorority. My experience with Panhellenic has been good. Recruitment was fun and no one was rude to me or any of my friends. If you want to know about the houses, don’t come here. It’s toxic af. Go follow on Instagram.
