The truth according to a gamma chi

by:

Facts only

PNMs came in dreaming of KD Phi Mu or Tri Delt and AXO . They wanted to be invited to these houses and were excited to have them.

Girls were devastated to lose KD or Phi MU.

If they had Phi Mu or KD for pref it was 50/50 who they ranked first.
AXO were nasty this year, they yelled at the PNM while they were lining up to go inside their house. Inside they could barely hold a conversion. I had girls pick zeta or chi o over them.

The one house everyone said was great was ADPI the convos were great and nice girls.

And fyi snaps were given from ADPI AXO in my group .

As a Gamma Chi, my experience was slightly different than yours. My instate girls loved PhiMu and KD, not so much my OOS girls. They really loved ADPI and DZ. TriDelt was a mix of the two. I also heard negative comments about AXO yelling. I don't think any of my girls were devasted to lose KD or PhiMu. Many commented that they liked some of the other houses more than they expected so they were satisfied. My group also had snap bids from AXO and ADPI.

Similar experience as a gamma chi. I had a majority of girls wanting KD and Phi Mu But we’re pleasantly surprised to like the other houses. So if they lost one of the two, they were OK they had other choices and opportunity. However, AXO was mean ! Snap bids were given to two of my girls and they went ADPI

First, i’m sorry that was your experience doing recruitment. A good résumé, good GPA, a good video and rec letters help you get to philanthropy round and maximize your option only for that round. Once you start going into houses for philanthropy round, that is all on you if you’re able to hold a conversation talk to the girls and show like you’re having a good time that will get you to sisterhood. Same goes for sisterhood and preference, ask questions don’t be shy because the girls are going to score you once you walk out the door. Unfortunately, sometimes you get a girl that’s not very good at interviewing you and that does have an impact on you, but don’t truly try COB. I know a few houses have already announced their COB events this week. I would definitely go to those.

The days of “cut” in the tens of the chapter just said no vs yes or over. The PNM just wasn’t ranked high enough on any chapters’ invite list to come back. Panhellenic determines how many each group is allowed to invite and the numbers vary. But when a chapter’s list hits that number, the rest of the list is released.

I doubt you were actually a gamma chi. as a gamma chi this past year, you shouldn’t be posting on this app at all or using that language. if you were one, it’s sad that you took an entire leadership class and spent so much time talking about breaking stereotypes, just to reinforce them on greekrank.

How did AXO yell at PNMs? What does that even mean? Shouldn’t the Gamma Chi’s be the ones lining up the PNMs?

As a pnm this year our group was getting yelled at because as we were lining up, we were talking to each other and not listening. So axo yelled at us to be quiet so they can call names. Don’t blame them ! Our gamma chi did tell us to listen . I was scared when I walked into that house. The attitude was just not right for me.
