tips for recruitment applications

by: Advice

Alright, PNMs, listen up. Here are some tips to have the best recruitment application possible.

- Upload a flattering picture. Not anything too far away but no selfies either. Senior photos work really well. Try not to use anything with another girl in it (which one are you?) or something you have to crop really tight. What kind of photo would you submit if job interviews required that sort of thing?
- Accurate information
- Spell your name right. Seriously, this is more of a problem than you'd think.
- Spell your school's name right.
- Hell, just spell everything right.
- Make your involvement as specific as possible. Only putting "I volunteered a lot" is almost as bad as nothing at all.

As for the rest of the application (recs and the like), my general advice is the more the better.

And if you have questions you're too nervous to ask without the blanket of anonymity, well, I'll answer those too.

xoxo

I thought this was a really helpful post. Much better than the house bashing that goes on here.
