Advice for PNMSs (no ranks)

by:

The only reason I’m posting on this app is not to rank these sororities, but to help all the PNMs who I’m sure are going to be stalking this website this week. So take my advice as a girl who has a year under her belt and friends in a variety of chapters.
1. Don’t let anybody else’s opinion sway your own. Regardless of if you fall in love with a top tier or bottom tier chapter don’t let anybody make you feel bad about where you’re the happiest. At the end of the day, these are YOUR future sisters and YOUR future friends and you are the only one that gets an opinion about that.
2. This is most important. Pick a chapter based on where you feel completely accepted for who you are. What chapter do you feel most relaxed in your conversations with? What chapter could you come to on a good or bad day? What chapter would you be comfortable being around with no makeup? What chapter would help you up if you feel down and which chapter would stand there and laugh at you?
3. Please do not pick a chapter based on who you think seems the coolest or has the prettiest people. All of that stuff seems appealing during recruitment, believe me I was the same way, but the majority of what you’re going to see this week is each sorority putting their best foot forward and sometimes that all goes away after recruitment is over.
I know this was super long but keep these things in mind this week, and remember what ever chapter you decide on I know there are some girls who are very excited to meet you! Just be true to yourself and trust the process and everything will be fine!

this. I know so many girls in “top”
houses that have been excluded from recruitment and feel really bad about themselves right now. if you’re looking for status maybe okay but if you want true sisterhood, find where you are most comfortable. this is supposed to be fun
