If I was going to be a 24 year old freshman, is that too old to join? Would I get into a group like tridelta alpha omicron pi phi mu or kappa delta?

No. Every girl in the house will be 2-6 years younger than you. I don't think you would even enjoy the experience at this point in your life.

Don't necessarily agree. You'll just have to realize you probably won't be in a great house and you'll have to get along with your pledge class being younger than you

Wouldn't care if you were in my pledge class if you were 25 or 26 even if you wanted to be there and had an open mind.

I just really want a close sisterhood and to be involved but I am really worried that no house will want me in general. I know I would be a lot older but I have a very open mind. What are my chances?

If you have a totally open mind, good test score/GPA, and can show any type of involvement (school/community related), I would hope you find a place. And if you want a really close sisterhood with involvement, I would consider groups not considered in the top 6. These houses are more reputation based, and you probably wouldn't be as comfortable there or find what you're looking for. If you do have an open mind, I wish you the best of luck joining a house.
