Many sororities have deadlines to submit the letters - so you need to get on them ASAP. Not all sororities require them - but it does help to have them. The alumnae will send the letter directly via email or the sorority website. Sometimes you can ask on social media if your friends or their mom/grandma/aunt etc can help with a recommendation letter for Recruitment.

Some, but not all, NPC sororities require a recommendation for every PNM they pledge. This year Phi Mu decided to drop that requirement, so you won't have to worry about that one.
To find recs, ask your relatives, your former teachers (even all the way back to kindergarten), your neighbors, your parents friends and coworkers, your friends parent, older girls from your HS, ladies from your church, and then even if they were not in sororities, ask them if they know anyone who was.
The alumna of the sorority will use a form provided by her national office online, or in her sorority magazine. You will need to provide her with a resume, HS transcript, and usually 2 photos-a head shot and whole body shot. These do not have to be formal photos. Using the information you provide, she will fill out the form and submit it, either electronically, or mail the form in.
Hope this info helps.
