out of state
by: CuriousI am so excited to be accepted to UT and can't wait for rush! I want to join a house with a lot of out of state girls. Being from out of state, I feel like I would have a lot in common with the girls in a diverse house, plus I want to meet people from all over! Which houses are the most diverse? I am not interested in tiers, but I am interested in diversity. Which houses offer the most diversity?

A lot of the Greek community at UT are from out of state or from Nashville, Brentwood, etc... Just because they all go to college not knowing anyone and wanting a sense of community so a lot of the girls are not from Knoxville. If you are open with them, they will be open with you. If anything, local girls have a harder time because they don't have their home city in common with the other girls.

disagree...I think the OOS girls have the hardest time because rarely do they know anyone prior to rush. Most of the Knoxville girls know people in houses prior to coming to college. There are so many girls going through rush, and no matter what people on this site want you to believe, when you don't know anybody it is harder, especially when some houses are known to gravitate towards girls from certain areas.

all the houses have AMAZING girls, they are NOT all very diverse. Many of the houses recruit girls from certain areas of TN...that's the truth! I can honestly say this because I am in a house with many girls from my area.
