are not open to change. I'm in one of these chapters, and I love every single one of my sisters. Do I like them all of the time and do we get along 24/7? Absolutely not because that's unrealistic when you have 180+ girls together constantly. Our recent pledge classes have been really great compared to our "older reputation," but do I care about that as far as tiers are concerned? No, because tiers don't matter. I have multiple friends in every fraternity and sorority on campus and none of them care that I'm in a "bottom tier" chapter.
So before you begin recruitment, lose the "I have to be top tier" mindset. Love where you end up because it's the right fit for you first. Once you're initiated, there's no turning back, and you wouldn't want to call people you don't get along with your sisters forever.
