on your part. My favorites were DZ and KD and didn't get either. I ended up joining a house that was my third choice and LOVE it. I am so happy!!!! You really should have given other houses a chance. Being Greek is an amazing experience. I have made so many great friends in all the houses. You missed out!!!

that really sends a bad message to pnms. You're going to love any house you end up in. My favorites were KD, Phi Mu, KKG, and ADPi. I told myself before rush that i would be happy in any of these houses. Guess what? third round rolled around and I had NONE of these left on my invite list. I preffed DDD and AOPi. I obv ended up in one of the ones i preffed and i could not love my house an my sisters anymore!!! moral of the story is that even though you might go into rush with ur "favorites", that doesnt mean you wont end up loving another house.

did you do that!?! I had my heart set on Phi Mu, DZ, or KD...I got dropped by all three, but I ended up in an amazing house. You should go through rush with an open mind rather than a "mind set."

actually people are dropped from houses for many different reasons. for example kappa requires a 3.0 to join and tri delt only a 2.5. maybe she just didnt have the grades....

...the majority of girls going through rush are freshman. It is highly unlikely anyone was admitted to the university with a 2.5. I think Kappa is trolling this site.

its also because there were girls who didn't want them and some dropped on bid day and during new member process. but i do know some girls that did want them too

when you sign your pref card, you are saying that you will accept any bid from the organizations you list. you cant decline a bid on bid day. you can not show up and drop later but you would still be included in their "bid day total" so to speak. quota is determined on pref and carries into bid day. any girl who dropped after bid day would not affect their quota but rather their chapter total. and as to the grades comment, I know someone who was admitted to UT with a 2.73 so.......

may be, but with an average freshman admitted GPA of a 3.9 it would be very rare... so stop trolling KKG.

that 3.9 is the gpa that the university of tennessee recalculates for themselves on a "special scale". The 3.9 isnt a gpa given by high schools. In addtion you have ur facts wrong since the gpa average is actually a 3.7

UTK admit, but you are wrong. The information was given out at orientation...highly unlikely the university would make that up. So my facts are quite right. There is no "special" scale. The only thing they do is give credit for honor and AP classes which many competitive high schools don't, mine included. I talked to admissions so I do know about the weighting. They recalculate to make sure all their candidates' classes are weighted the same. It would be unfair for one high school to weight AP/honors and another to not do so.

No way is KD number one...haha!!! Nice try, though, nor is ADPI that high, DG is definitely higher than KKG, and ChiO and DZ are both better than ZTA and AXO. Not much about this list is accurate.

Quota doesn't really differentiate one sorority from another. There are many different reasons for it. Many times the houses that are considered least "popular" will make quota plus.
