Symbolism in Greek Orgs
by: ThinkFirst I want to say there is no judgement in this post. I am not attacking anyone, only trying to point things out so you can see what is really going on. The first Greek org, Phi Beta Kappa, were all college aged men who were also Freemasons. The intent was to prepare men to then become Freemasons, and women to join the Order of the Eastern Star. Look those up if you don’t know what they are. We enjoy the bonds we make, so they knew we would want something similar after we graduate. I was in a frat until I started paying attention to how all Greek Orgs, both for men and women, GLO and BGLO are completely influenced by Freemasonry and how the symbols mirror their beliefs and are used. Look at your crests, pins, symbols, rituals, the names in those rituals and oaths. Stars, Moons, square/compass, one eye (All seeing eye-look into what that really is), owls, crown, eagles (really a Phoenix), certain types of crosses, lions, hands clasped, skulls or bones, etc are all from them. Also all rituals, oaths, and occult type rhetoric and behaviors are based on the 2 orgs I listed above, Masons and OES. In the frat I was in, the ghost of someone the frat bases much on, they basically do a seance, bring in his ghost represented by a member of the frat, then do communion. For those of you which are Believers in The Way, Jesus the Messiah, these things should make you question why you are in them. There are plenty of verses describing how we should not take oaths and why doing many of these things and being associated with it isn’t in line with what we should be doing. Even if you are not a believer in Jesus, and are Muslim for example, these things are not in line with your faith. I am a Christian but want to bring awareness to everyone. I wish I knew these things before hand. I dropped. I know these orgs can be fun and provides a lot of things people our age want to do and think are ok, but aren’t in line with The Most High’s ways, or what we should be associated with. Please take the time and think back to your oaths, the symbols in your crests, sayings, foundations of the whole org in Greek mythology and the calling upon or invoking them in your rituals. You cannot serve two different things. One or the other. Just think and pray for the Spirit to show you clarity.
