why does everyone hate on pi phi and kkg?
by: just curiousmaybe i haven't been in greek life long enough to understand, but why does everyone love to hate on pi phi? i don't see it as much for kappa, but there's still some. all of the girls I've met from those houses have been amazing. i really don't get it. is it always this toxic? i thought pan love was real. can someone explain what's wrong with the girls and what makes them "bottom tier"?

Everyone saying those girls are bottom tier or that there's something wrong with them are obviously in their own "sisterhoods" for the wrong reasons. It's so obvious that everyone saying they don't like Pi Phis is only saying that because unlike y'all, those girls really care about their chapters, philanthropies, and sisters. Y'all are just in Greek Life for Instagram clout and it shows. Go back to high school

gotta remember that the same girls who consider kkg and pi phi "bottom tier" are the same ones whose personalities are based off of three components: their parent's individual net worth, their membership in a "top" sorority, and the number of insta follows they have.

I see that for pi phi but I never hear any KKG hate.. if anything they’re just more lowkey/irrelevant than any bad reputation surrounding them. Definitely not comparable to pi phi (this is no shade to pi phi, great beautiful girls But an unjust reputation, this post is only saying I have never heard of kappa having a bad reputation other than being a little irrelevant)

oh yeah i've just seen a couple of discussions saying rude things about those chapters. pi phi definitely gets dragged through the mud and it's just really upsetting. it's like everyone's all "pan love" and preaching empowerment during recruitment and then after bid day we're back to pitting women against each other and ranking houses based on instagram followers and how popular they were in high school

After Fall ‘20 recruitment, nobody can deny that Kappa rocked it. They took quota plus of amazing girls...rushing against many other chapters.
Pi Phi showed a big improvement as well.
Things change....and this year proved it. There are only so many “Prestigious high school” girls and only so many from the “best (whatever that means) families”.
Great girls from EVERYWHERE are coming to TN; it’s time to recognize it.
