In general, at all schools, the "better" sororities tend to have more in-state girls. There are always some OOS girls in those but they tend to be in-region where there are lots of connections. You can get on any school's GR page and find that to be true. It makes sense bc you tend of have a lot of in-state girls going to their in-state school. There is also a local alumnae organization that helps the chapter out alot. The further down the rank you go, the more open they are to OOS girls bc they aren't as competitive. It's messed up in a way bc the OOS girl might be smarter/prettier/more volunteering than the in-state girl from the big private school but that in-state girl is still going to have the advangtage bc she knows lots of girls in the chapter and her mom knows lots of the alumnae that will all be fighting for her.

Totally agree, the only way oos is getting in a top house without major connections is if: you’re loaded, have model looks and perfect grades, massive insta following, super smart and your family basically owns the town where you came from. If you don’t have those things but you know a girl like that in house to pull for you, it will only help if she is considered to be influential with her house. Otherwise shoot for mid to bottom tier houses. Honestly none of that matters anyway and you’ll have a great experience no matter where you get in.
