top tier sororities are the ones with the highest retention rates and best grades. everyone knows that and sorry, it is what it is and that's why they stay strong. Constantly mentioning them just to bash them on a GR site is just a mean girls way to hate and in fact it shows the meanness and immaturity of other houses. Grow up and get your own house in order--attacking others just shows how insecure and desperate you really are.

That's right and no one thinks highly of mean girls either. Every sorority is involved and kind and to say otherwise is just typical jealous bashing. Sorry.

Definition of a "top" sorority seems to have morphed into which are the hardest to get in to. Selective in that they target certain cities/towns and high schools. Winning things doesn't really seem to make a difference. I am so glad to be in a house that is considered to be a tad further down this "ladder" because we are much more diverse, inclusive and filled with awesome attractive women who are close and learn from each other. I landed in the perfect place for me!

ADPI behind CHIO on that list, and you've got it. They were very rude at rush and a complete turn-off. Nobody in my group liked them.

Pi Phi, yes. Girls would rather not be Greek than go there almost any day, but Sigma Kappa doesn't receive enough credit. Every SK I've ever met has been so nice and they had one of the largest pledge classes. They didn't give out any COB's and are the 2nd largest chapter on campus.
In my personal opinion, they're not replacing anyone, but they are moving up...

They stress pan love here... and saying things like " girls would rather not be greek than go pi phi almost any day" is just pure meanness. What if someone said that about your sorority? Pi phis are some of the most genuine and down to earth girls you will ever meet... you don't hear bad things about them unlike other sororities and you don't see pi phis going around saying crap... give pi phis more credit.. they deserve to be on this campus and have just as good a reputation as any other sorority...

What you said about Sigma Kappa is so nice and supportive so I am surprised at what you just breezily said about Pi Phi. It is negative, totally UNNECESSARY comments like yours that perpetuate their perceived low status. One of the most popular girls in our very good school went Pi Phi and there are many, many attractive women in that house. Some may not have understood the importance of recs and connections but are just as worthy as so many in the top tier. Can we just be gracious and not do further damage. Let these girls get a foothold!

high grades and retention rates are no all that make a top tier house. Involvement and kindness also play a part as well. Nobody thinks highly of a mean group...sorry.
