how competitive is rush?

Its fairly competitive but nothing like bama or ole miss. I have heard that this year is by far the most people who are rushing at UT tho. I don't think where your from makes that big of a difference, but chapters seem to like diversity so if anything being from the west coast or from somewhere uncommon would help you.

Honestly as silly as it sounds it’s almost better going into rush not knowing anyone/anything. You don’t have any preconceived notions about what the houses are like and the chapter members haven’t heard rumors or anything about you. You will get to be able to go into rush with a clean slate and have an open mind that lots of kids from Nash/knox/mem don’t get

it definitely was harder rushing out of state because you don't have any pull in sororities. Members that already know the PNM's from their hometowns will place them above girls they don't know. But in the end, if you're meant to be in one, you will get a bid.
