You might be right. Tennessee is a lot harder school to get into than a lot of the other SEC schools. They probably don't party as much as a lot of others. Look at Ole Miss and Alabama. They have two of the top Greek systems in the SEC and probably the easiest schools to get into in the SEC.

Since when is Tennessee a difficult school to get into? The only SEC schools in that category are Vandy and UGA. ....and Alabama ranks above UT in the Best Public University rankings, so.......

Florida and A&M are both about on par with Georgia, and similar difficulty to get in.

Alabama's average high school GPA is 3.5 and Tennessee's is a 3.87, but nice try. Their ACT scores are lower too. Not to mention I had two friends go there because they didn't get into Tennessee. Go away and get your facts straight.

Everyone knows Ole Miss and Alabama are two of the easiest schools to get into in the SEC. Just check their freshman profiles out.

By: Nice try, but

Well, the new rankings are out today and Alabama still outranks UT.

Alabama is like the fifth highest ranked school in the SEC for academics (behind Vandy, A&M, Georgia and Florida). Honestly, the first four are the only ones that are difficult to get into.

The gdi comment makes you look bad and makes the Greek system look bad!

I think it's someone who got cut and that the same person has been making all these one-liner posts and questions since rush ended. It's someone feeling hurt, but I sure don't know how coming on this site is making things better. Move on and do something positive. Lots of people don't get the outcomes they want, but try again later and things go better. Tennessee has a ton of ways to get involved, so do that. Get out there and get to know sorority members who will fight for you if you rush again. And if you're the one making the ADPi comments and getting dropped as a legacy, just stop. Legacies get dropped everywhere now. Talking about being a legacy can hurt you. Makes other sororities think you wouldn't be open to them, so they'll cut you instead of risk wasting a bid on someone who will turn it down. Be open to everyone, but for now, get off this site and get a life at UTK. You'll feel a ton better and it just might open the door to sorority life a little later down the road.

I suggest OP go to Ole Miss or Alabama and go through rush. UT just got sorority houses this year, so that is a huge piece of the participation level. Check back in ten years.

UT just got sorority houses? Wow! A little behind the times, I guess.

For the record, Auburn doesn't have sorority houses and I don't think there are any plans for it to happen. UTK's houses are great!

Auburn is hardly a model organization for anything....and I don't think their sororities can afford them.

obvious you're a cyber hater that has nothing better to do than get on greekrank sites and spread your negativity about every comment someone makes. Are you even in school? Living at home with momma? Of course we'll never know and that's why you're here. sad.

Auburn is an elite Greek system, coming from someone who doesn't go there. There isn't a bad Greek system in the SEC though.

Not sure I would call Auburn "elite". Without houses, that could never really happen.

Auburn's fraternities have awesome houses, which is where social events actually happen. Sorority houses are a great thing to have and contribute to the sorority experience, but they aren't nearly as essential to the social culture. Auburn is in the neighborhood of 30% Greek, and only something like 4 other large public universities can claim that.
