They are not near the top. I would put both of those houses behind PhiMu, KD, TriDelt, DZ, and ADPI for sure. I would probably put them below Zeta as well. They are great girls, just not as sought after as the other houses I mentioned, probably as in CHIO's case, too legacy heavy and little diversity.

The high ranks are probably proud new members! The truth is they are solid houses but not as high as a few others, namely KD, TriDelt, PhiMu, ADPI, or DZ. I agree with the other post, Zeta has probably surpassed CHIO and AOPI too. And no, that is not a self rank; it's the truth.

chatt girls would say KD, adpi, and aopi are some of the top
Memphis girls would say chi o and tri delt
phi mu gets a lot of top girls from small town east, middle TN, and west TN

the rest of the chapters pull from a wider pool of girls from different cities and states which is great and is why they are a little more diversified. just because your chapter or a top chapter cut some girls doesn't mean they weren't great girls and that the chapter they chose was not a good one.. it just means one chapter lost out on the chance to get to know them better.

This is actually pretty accurate. Regional areas of TN can pull certain girls more than others. Honestly everything is subjective depending on what kind of person YOU are and what type of group appeals to YOU. That's why these ranks are really an inaccurate way of determining the best fit for each PNM. I'm a current junior and I preffed ADP, Tri Delt and XO. Those 3 pull some similar personalities and from similar areas of the South. I personally knew great girls I liked in each of 3, (and in others, too, but you could only pref 3) but that was just ME- and the groups that appealed to me most as the week went on. Other girls may have different vibes, know different people, so their take was DIFFERENT then mine was. It didn't mean I was more right or they were wrong, because honestly, there are great girls in every single house at UTK.

I wonder if the girls in ADPI, CHIO, and AOPI are embarrassed by their alum always posting on here??? I would be willing to bet they are.

CHIO is nowhere near being a top tier house. They took girls who were cut by many chapters last year. They are popular for legacies, but nobody else really puts them as a top choice. They are very nice girls but lack the diversity to make them a top tier house.
