sorority recruitment as a junior?
by: RockyTopHi, I am thinking about doing sorority recruitment in the fall. I will be a Junior and I was wondering if that would hurt my chances? Does the quota for sophomores also include juniors or are they in a separate quota? Thanks!

If it's like it was a few years ago, all upperclassmen fall into a separate pool of potential new members - basically bids given to upperclassmen didn't count against a chapter's quota. Not sure if it's like that or not now. Your being a junior will probably mean that some groups will not issue a bid to you, but others would be more than happy to have you join them. It just depends on their policy about taking upperclassmen. Good luck to you!

I think your chances are pretty good to get into most any sorority, with the exception of maybe the top 4. And, don't believe the hype you read on here about tiers. Each sorority has its pros and cons. Judge for yourself.
