recruitment
by: JWI am just curious if there was a larger number of PNM's this year. Many of my friends were cut from the houses they really wanted and are debating dropping rather than pledging a house that wasn't a top choice for them.

If greekrank posts by anonymous persons are any indication, the NPC had best look into dropping RFM as too many pnms are complaining they have been forced to accept bids from a sorority they did not truly want and were forced to maximize options just to belong.
Well sugars, you all went into recruitment knowing the odds may not be in your favor since all the invitations are given by the sororities and not written by the pnms.
But I must also note that RFM or no RFM if the pmn doesn't fit, the sorority won't invite them to belong. That's the way it has been forever in Sorority world.

RFM means that cuts happen earlier rather than later in the process. The exact same girls get released before prefs no matter if it's after 1st round or 3rd round. RFM allows earlier releases so girls know ahead of time and can focus on other houses. It's way better this way. You don't want to be carried all the way to third round and then have that shock of being released by all those houses, you need it to happen up front and focus on the places that want you.
