Who would yall consider the core 4 now? Here is my opinion in no order

CHI O while it may be really hard to get into, I wouldnt consider a "core 4", they are still a strong house, but not in the top. Probably more like Top Mid tier. Just because they are very exclusive, accept basically only legacies, and pretty much have their pledge class picked out before rush, it doesnt make them the best. I agree with the original poster that AOPI PHI MU DDD and KD are core 4.

girls I knew chose KKG over CHIO. As a matter of fact, ADPI was not at the top of lots of girls either.

CHIO was not sought out by PNM's in my group either. DZ, DG, and KKG were all favored over them. Many in my group liked DG and DZ over ADPI as well.

Alot of girls in my group wanted phi mu, zeta, and ADPi but then again that doesnt mean much. They types of girls in every group are different. It is done by last name so thats not a very accurate representation.

I also agree with the original poster, If i had to choose a 'core 4" at UT it would be these. Even though they are all top, they are very different though. KD is like the best of the party wild girl sororities, AOPi is the Best of the classy, smart, and pretty girl sororities, Phi Mu is the best of the bubbly, cute, outgoing, and girly sororities, and DDD is the best of the wealthy/rich girl soroities. (not implying that other sororities dont have great girls because they do but just from a overall perspective of the chapters as a whole)

the most sought after sororities during rush were AOPi, Tri Delt, ADPi, Phi Mu, and KD. Chi O was popular only amongst similar types of girls.

Believe what you want but that's what happened. There were 12 girls in my group and 4 went Sigma Kappa, 3 went Pi Phi, 3 went Tri-Delt, 1 went KKG and 1 went ZTA. We all preffed multiple chapters and all got bids from our first choice.

Because the girls who were popular at certain high schools want to keep the "popular" clique going in high school. So they perpetuate this lie that they're better than everyone else when really they just take certain girls from certain high schools. It's not exclusivity, it's incestuous. If you want to meet new people, don't join a sorority made up of all the mean girls from your high school, you know?

hit the nail on the head! Same girls from high school which leads to poor sisterhood and no diversity. Honestly, they troll this site 24/7. That is why you see them as #1 and #2 over and over. There are way better houses to choose from if you're looking for a good sisterhood and more diversity. My friend is in one of those houses (I will not say which one)and regrets her decision.
