will only know what you tell them. The only way anyone can know you don't have a full schedule is if you have extra sessions where you don't have a party. People still won't know where you are or are not going unless they see you there. They are all too busy worrying over their own invitation list to pay much attention to yours anyway. Keep your favorites to yourself, and don't listen to all of the talk among PNMs. You very well may pledge somewhere that isn't your first choice and you will probably love it in the long run, but why should others know it wasn't your first choice?
This site is full of girls bashing houses who cut them even though they are totally happy where they ended up. That's what creates a lot of the drama on here and some of it starts with PNMs who have been cut somewhere they thought they wanted.
As far as being cut without recs- some houses are required to cut huge numbers at the very beginning, so they may cut girls without a rec or with grade issues. Others don't have to do that. Every chapter does things a little differently and has different numbers to work with. Keep an open mind about the houses that invite you back- they are interested in you! Good Luck!

As a PMN don't choose the house you want to be in based on ranks and what you read on here and hear in the tent. Choose the house that fits you best no matter what people say about them. Ranks don't really matter in greek life at UT except on this website to a few catty, bitter people. ALL of the houses at UT are great, and they are all different. You will be much happier in the long run if you make your choice based on where you fit in, and not on who you think is most popular. Trust me.... being in a sorority is way too expensive to base your decision on what other people tell you is the best and most popular- you might get in and find out you hate it because you didn't give a chance to the chapter that fit your personality best.

Also, if you receive a bid to a chapter that is not your first choice and is considered by some mid or lower tier. Give it a chance- get to know the girls better and really try to make it work. They chose you for a reason and they wanted you!! Don't feel like the world has ended because you are not in the most popular house. If you give it a chance you might find that it really is the best fit, and you love your new sisterhood.
