plan on coming through in fall 2017- cities / scho
by: Future VolI plan on attending UTK next fall. Which houses tend to attract more private school girls from the major cities (Harpeth Hall, Ensworth, BGA, Hutchinson, St Mary's, GPS, Baylor, Webb, etc.)? I go to a private school listed but want a more different experience in college. I'd assume at a large state school that most groups have a mix of private and public school girls. Just don't really want high school part 2.

Tri delt, Adpi, chi o, and aopi tend to take many of the TN private schools. Specifically Tri delt takes a ton from the Memphis private schools and Knoxville. Adpi has a big pull from Nashville. Chi o gets a lot of Memphis girls and aopi gets a lot from chatt. Kd also takes a lot of Nashville private school girls. With that being said, you should not purposefully avoid a sorority because of this. You should join the chapter you feel you fit in best! You may or may not end up with some of the same girls from high school in your pledge class, but if you do it's because you probably share similar qualities and can end up becoming even better friends!!

I was in a Nashville private school and just wanted to do something different and meet new friends, trust me, I am still best friends with my HS friends that went with the other sororities. We all just more friends as a result. After freshman year, if you are slightly secure, you won't care about any of this competition and just have great frines in all the sororities, I am engaged and have girls from four sororities in my wedding,

Thank you. This is helpful information. I wouldn't avoid any groups; just curious if there was a large concentration of private school girls in one or two chapters. Just ready for a change. Coming from a small school to UT is very exciting for me.
