If you are receiving texts from virtual strangers urging you to join a specific chapter, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. If they are that desperate then they are afraid other houses are out recruiting them and they probably are. Go with your heart, and don't be harassed or guilted in joining a house that's not top choice in your heart because somebody's mom is making you feel like you belong in her daughter's chapter. That's just creepy and weird.

You should never feel guilted into joining a house or have an adult, especially a mom of a chapter member try to influence your decision in any way. If they are badmouthing another house or telling you to join their daughter's chapter, they have a hidden agenda. I am so sorry to the girls this is happening to, as it is very stressful for a young girl to be pressured by an adult.

I can guess the house you are referring to. They think they are above everyone, which in reality their popularity has been dwindling, thus the reason for having mothers text trying to coerce members into joining their chapter. They are known to dirty rush, promising bids, etc. I hope the girls that were texted didn't fall for it and were smart enough to join a different chapter. You will be happy you did. You will discover they aren't as popular as they think they are and are quickly losing their top tier status. After this recruitment, I am certain they will. Their drama and cattiness has gotten old, and there are several chapters with nicer girls.
