sororities
by: ConcernedOk. I have read several posts regarding girls dropping out of their sororities during their Junior or Senior year. Why? Does this happen with all of the houses? KD is mentioned the most or is this just jealousy of a top house? I have friends in KD, DDD, AoPi, and ADPi. They have never mentioned anything like that to me. Why join if only to drop later?

This does not happen with all houses. Some people do drop but it is usually due to financial reasons later on.
KD is mentioned quite a bit only because they are the house with the most outspoken girls and have the most drama. Thats not bad for everyone but some people do not want to be involved in that.

It's recruitment time and the lies are always targeted towards the more popular houses. Truth, girls drop in ALL the houses for many reasons. Most is financial or being on academic probation. Funny how popular houses get accused of girls dropping for drama when in fact it is the OTHER houses that have the highest drop rates. Go to the PAN site, click on resources and you can see the membership # of the houses. proof in print.

I mean this is just hilarious- to know that you are STILL out here perpetuating these hateful rumors because the only avenue you have is GreekRank is pitiful. Sorry your sister didn't get in- time for you to grow up and let it go. Check the numbers and your story gets holes shot right through it.
Also- Greek Rank, remember it only takes one troll with too much time (and jealousy) on their hands to start a rumor that seems like it is coming from many different sources. Pathetic.

Pledging a sorority is a financial commitment. Look at the brochure and see which one fits you financially long term. Some houses require a meal plan your Jr and Sr years and some do not. You only live in the house your sophomore year. Most live in apartments their JR and SR year, and buy groceries.

No one is jealous of KD. KD goes after girls who they think were popular in high school. Those girls combined together form one big drama filled house. Once their members grow up, they tire of this and drop. However, it's fun while you still have that high school mentality.
