rec letters

You can go to the UTK Panhellenic page under 2016 Fall recruitment. This is where you will find the forms for each house. There are eight houses which require recs and four that recommend them.

Here's a little advice. While I am sure these are wonderful houses (as are all the houses at UTK), do not limit yourself to getting recs for just those two, or any other "favorites" for that matter. If you limit yourself, I can almost guarantee you that you will be disappointed. Best of luck during recruitment.

Post asking for recommendations on your Facebook but be sure to list every house (even the ones not requiring). You'll be surprised how many people you are friends with that were or are in a sorority and even ask your Facebook friends to ask people they know to write a recommendation! The more the better!

on Facebook, check with your mom's friends, your teachers, ladies at your church. They will be happy to write you a rec, but get it done in the next few days. It's time. About a week after you send them your resume, send each rec writer an thank you note. Not only is it the right thing to do, it will remind them to get the rec done if they haven't yet.
Also, as said above, do not set your sights on 2 houses. That is the best way to have a disappointing recruitment.

I know AOPi requires recs. However, I heard DZ does not make a big deal about them. Both are good houses as are many others. Good luck!
